KASTNER, Frederick - Born on August 28th, 1923 died peacefully on January 10th, 2018 at Ross Memorial Hospital.
Born in Vienna, Austria, no matter what life threw at him, whether it be poverty, a broken home, war, his unending positivity and love of life got him through every situation.
He and Margaret took a leap of faith and in 1956 immigrated to Canada. In 1967 they bought Balsam Lake Villa Cottages which they owned for 50 years. He was a kind generous man with a zest for life and his light will continue to shine in all of our hearts.
Survived by his wife Margaret, daughters Sonia (Rob), Susan (Lawrence), grandchildren Tyler, Katie, Emily, Conor and Danielle, extended family and many friends.
In keeping with Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.
