KIRLEY, Mary Rita – “The Lord my God lightens my darkness (Psalm 18:28).”
Surrounded by her family, Mary died peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday, January 26, 2018.
Mary entered into the divine light of God in her 94th year.
Mary (Giltenan) was the beloved wife of the late Peter G. Kirley (1994).
She is the loving mother of Frank, Sean and his wife Michelle Mucci-Kirley, Marianne, Julie and her husband Kevin Lynch and Catherine and her husband Louie Kalpakis.
She is the cherished grandma of Michael and Peter Kirley and Tiana and Elena Kalpakis.
She is predeceased by her parents Michael and Rose (Fox) Giltenan, her brothers Tom and Pat Giltenan and her sister Rosaline and her husband Claude Hannon.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law Father Kevin Kirley CSB, sisters-in-law Jean Kirley, Nora Kirley, Elma Giltenan and Theresa Hughes and her husband George and by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, friend and a woman of deep faith who brought joy to those around her.
Visitation will be held at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill St. Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Monday, January 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Mary’s Church, 40 Russell St. East, Lindsay on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2:00 P.M.
