Schroeder Patricia

SCHROEDER, Dr. Patricia Schroeder - it is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the passing of Patricia Schroeder DVM at her home, Deihl's Point on Sunday, March 18th, just shy of her 81st birthday.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Greta Scobbie (nee Smith).

Pat was the much loved wife of her devoted husband William Schroeder DVM.

Upon graduation from Guelph Veterinary College, Pat and Bill began their practice in Fenelon Falls at the top end of Colborne Street.

From there they moved to the Fenelon Animal Clinic on Hwy. 121 which they built in 1972.

They practiced at their clinic until their retirement in 1998.

Pat had a great love for dogs and she raised and showed Shetland Sheepdogs, winning many ribbons.

She will be greatly missed by her companion "Linus".

She was also known for her beautiful gardens, that highlighted her day lillies, which she grew and cross pollinated creating her own beautiful flowers and colours.

Pat will be sadly missed by her husband Bill Schroeder, her brother Jim Scobbie and his wife Cheryl, her sister Betty Brentnell and her husband Carl, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

As per Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral.

If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a foundation of your choice would be appreciated and may be arranged through the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205).

Online condolences may be directed to stoddartfuneralhome.com.
