Harrison AndrewHARRISON, Andrew James - (April 21, 1994August 23, 2018) -

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 in the ICU at Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa.

Our son Andrew was born at Oshawa General on April 21, 1994.

Survived by loving parents Dianna & Rick Harrison, sisters Elizabeth and Christina.

Grandmothers Mary and Patricia. Uncle Doug and Aunt Dianne, Aunt Darlene and Uncle Andreas, Auntie Heather and Colin, and Uncle Douglas. Cousins Michael, Sarah, Alicia, Garett, Alexandra and Kyler. Many great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Second dad Steve, and like a brother Michael.

Andrew made friends easily, with kindness, caring, and a bright shining smile. He leaves behind deep meaningful friendships with Cody, Leigh, Travis, Charles, and too many more to list here.

Family will receive visitors at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, August 28th from 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. at Westminster United Church (1850 Rossland Road East, Whitby).

Heartfelt thanks to his amazing nurses Jo and Beth, Dr. Masri, and the caring and compassionate nursing staff and physicians in ICU Lakeridge.

With the generosity and caring that defined his tragically short life, Andrew donated his organs through Trillium Gift of Life.

Andrew adored dogs and cats, so donations can be directed to Humane Society of Durham Region at https://www.hsdr.org/

Please consider joining us at the Distress Centre Durham’s suicide awareness walk on September 8th as Team Andrew, or making a donation to our team or the organization at http://www.distresscentredurham.com/
