GLADWIN, Douglas Grey - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Douglas Grey Gladwin, on September 28th 2018 at the age of 90, surrounded by loved ones at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital.
Douglas was born in Tofield Alberta on May 10th 1928 and grew up in Myers Grant, Nova Scotia before moving to Toronto where he met his loving wife of 64 years, Anne Gladwin (nee Coughlan).
Lovingly remembered by his children, Joanne (pre deceased), Daniel (Cheryl), Marlene (Gord), Karen (Mark) and Douglas (Stephen); grandchildren, Zachary (Julia), Taylor, Sarah (Adam), Stephen (Erica), Sheldon and his great grandchildren Hailey, Emma, Abby, Tessa, and Tegan.
Predeceased by his mother Esther Gladwin (nee Grant), sister Shirley Redmond (Bob), brother Grant (Dorothy) and half-brother Ronnie (Dolly). Survived by half-brothers Howard Gray (Joan) and James Gray.
Sadly missed by brother-in-law Jerry (Lyn) Coughlan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Visitation will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 with a Funeral Mass at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Friday, October 5th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow.
