GARVIE, Helen  -  Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 94.

Beloved wife of 66 years to the late William Garvie.

Mother to Aileen (late Jack) of Port Perry, ON, Joanne (Jeff) of Victoria BC, and Brian (Susan) of Kelowna, BC. She was a loving grandmother to Jannah (Gary), Mark (Lauren), Maria, Heather (Landon), Nicole and Carolyn.

She was also very proud to have seven great grandchildren.

Helen was born on June 5, 1924 in Broxburn, West Lothian, Scotland.

After emigrating to Canada in April 1960, Bill and Helen settled in Cambridge, ON. In 1970 the family moved to Markham.

After retiring, Bill and Helen moved to White Rock BC, where they remained until 2011.

They moved to Port Perry and lived very contentedly at Port Perry Villa, until moving next door to Port Perry Place.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 319 Queen Street, Port Perry.  A Celebration of Helen’s Life will commence at 11.a.m., with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
