Powell LilianPOWELL, Lilian Constance "Connie" - (July 31, 1913 - January 21, 2019) - 

Peacefully at Hillsdale Estates, on Monday, January 21st, 2019, in her 106th year.

Beloved wife of the late Alymer (Ren) Powell of Powell Drug Store, Oshawa.

Loving daughter of the late Augustine (Gus) and Lillian Stevens.

Loving mother of Jim (Joanne) Powell and Lynn (Philip) Lyon, all of Oshawa.

Cherished grandmother of Patricia and David Powell, Sandra (Barry) Rossiter, and Philip (Anita) Lyon; great-grandmother of Kathleen Powell, Sydney and Lauren Rossiter, Corinna and Aaron Lyon.

Predeceased by her brother Leslie (Marg) Stevens. Much loved and admired by extended family and friends.

Fondly remembered as a long-standing member of St. George’s Memorial Anglican Church, Oshawa, and for her service to the community through her involvement in the St. George’s Altar Guild, Meals on Wheels, quilting club, and knitting for the hospital.

Longtime member of the Oshawa Historical Society. Connie was an avid traveller, bridge player and painter, who enthusiastically embraced modernization.

A public service will be held at the graveside (located west of the mausoleum) at Oshawa Union Cemetery, 760 King St. W. (at Thornton Rd. N.), Oshawa, in the spring.
