FONTANA, Lucia - (November 21, 1941 – March 2, 2019) -
After a short illness, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with her family by her side on March 2nd, 2019, at 77 years of age.
Beloved wife of Franco Fontana for 52 years.
Loving mother of Tony and his wife Sonia, Frank and his wife Jan and Josie and her husband Matt Martino. Cherished Nonna of Emily, Mya, Nicholas, Julia, Isabella, Sara and Matthew.
Dear sister of Gaetano and his wife Antoinetta Trasente, Arturo and his wife Sabina Trasente, Torquato and his late wife Maria Trasente, Antonio and his late wife Louisa Trasente, Irene and her late husband Dante De Benedictis and the late Antoinetta and her late husband Silvio Collela.
She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, March 6th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Prayers will be held in the funeral home at 3 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Thursday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
