CONNER, Robert Allan (Rob) - Passed away at his home on Thursday June 6th, 2019 at the age of 64.
Loving husband of Irene Conner for 34 years.
Loving father of Jessica Conner and Derek Conner of Oshawa.
Predeceased by his parents Allan and Alice Conner.
Brother of Susan Barton and her husband Gord, and brother-in-law of Lynn Dunikowski. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Alan.
A family Celebration of Life will be held at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Friday afternoon.
Rob was a generous and gregarious man who was happy to share his knowledge and skills with others. He loved sports and especially hockey, and in earlier years was involved in community hockey as a coach and trainer, and helped with various hockey clubs.
While his health allowed, he was an enthusiastic golfer. He was an avid fisherman and loved nothing more than to be out on an Ontario lake catching fish with Derek and Jessica.
Rob was a skilled carpenter and craftsman who built many beautiful, useful and lasting items for his home, and for relatives and friends.
Rob dearly loved the family dogs, Kesuk and Deohge, and made sure they always had everything dogs could want.
Most of all Rob was devoted to his wife and children, and took great joy in their family life together, being involved in everyone’s activities and taking pride in their accomplishments.
He will be greatly missed.
