Le Blanc MildredLe BLANC, Mildred Daisy  - of Whitby, Ontario and formerly of Yarmouth, County, N.S. and Boston, MA, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2019.

She was 96 and still had a song in her heart for her family and friends.

She was born and grew up in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood.

She always spoke fondly (throughout the years) of her parents Clarence and Grace (Le Blanc) McWhinnie, her 12 (predeceased) siblings, along with her nieces and nephews.

Family was everything to her.

Some highlights throughout her years, besides having a loving husband, Russell J Le Blanc Sr. (predeceased), son Donald (predeceased) and son Rusty (Patsy), all of whom she was very proud, included  helping nurse newborn babies, the operating of donut shops with her husband, and years of taking care of the elderly in a nursing home as an LPN.

As mentioned, family was everything to her. There was nobody as special as her four granddaughters:  Michelle, Beth, Amy and Amanda, until great-grandson, Gavin and great-granddaughter Ashley came along.

Both she and her husband were known to family and friends for their musical talent and were often considered as “the life of the party”.

Visitation will take place (Friday August 2 - 11:00am) at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St., Whitby ON, followed by a catholic service (in the funeral home chapel) at noon and a reception.

The Le Blanc family would like to thank all of Mildred’s home caregivers, especially PSW Chelsea Wynn, for their quality assistance and dedication.
