Sciuk RosemarySCIUK, Rosemary Stella  -  With deep sadness we share the loss of our amazing mother Rosemary Sciuk on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Rosemary left us on her own terms, she started the day with her regular exercise program, a game of bridge and enjoyed her life to the end.

Rosemary was beloved wife of George for nearly 60 years before his passing in March 2018, mother of David (Michele), Richard, Rita (Yves) and Carl (Joane) and very proud grandmother of Ally, Nick, Julien, Selena, Justin, Derek, Mirella and Colin.

Daughter of Rosalee and Paul, she is survived by her sister Eugenia (Ron) and predeceased by her brother Ed (Ann).  A special friendship was shared with Richard and Shirley her brother and sister in law.

Rosemary had an amazing spirit and determination that lit up everyone close to her.

Her love of art inspired her curiosity and thirst to continue to grow every day of her life.  She had an amazing network of friends that kept her involved in bridge, art, theatre, exercise, reading and a few holes of golf! Mom was an unwavering perfectionist who applied her determination to everything she pursued – pharmacy (Jury & Lovell), golf (Oshawa Golf Club), painting and most of all to her family.

Rosemary enjoyed many years in Florida where she pursued similar interests with many good southern friends. She missed George dearly and we are grateful to all of her friends who helped her keep an extremely active social life right up to the last day she had with us.

Rosemary had a special connection with her grandchildren and cherished every visit, phone call, facetime, text and imessage with them.

She inspired her grandchildren to follow their passions and provide wonderful education, career and life advice. She will be missed by all.

Friends may call at the  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Oshawa, for visitation  on Sunday August 11th  from 2pm – 4pm & 6pm – 8pm., with prayers at 7pm.  A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church on Monday August 12th at 10am.  Following the mass, interment of cremated remains will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.
