PENHALE, David William - It is with great sadness we announce that on September 4, 2019, the life of David William Penhale, 49, was taken unexpectedly.
He was born July 5, 1970 in Oshawa, Ontario, the youngest son of Mary Louise and the late Raymond Penhale.
Proud father to his only son, Aiden Johnston.
Cherished brother to Marty (Reise Hooley), Terry, Sean (Heather Masson), Tracy (Jeremy Stella), Kathy (Tim Weber), Marylynne, and Chrissy. Dear brother-in-law to Arlene Galliah and Brad Stella.
Loving “Uncle D” to many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by his extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to have had him in their lives.
David was a gentle soul with a big heart and an infectious laugh.
With his smiling eyes and his looks being compared over the years to people like Johnny Depp and George Clooney, it’s clear he was as beautiful on the outside as he was on the inside.
He loved to create things from other things. Make beautiful pieces of art with found objects. He had a deep love of music. He loved his geckos and was constantly updating their habitat with his creations (which he titled “The Bubblegum Yard”).
David loved the outdoors. Fishing, camping, hiking, exploring… he liked getting his hands dirty. He prided himself on being an accomplished and awarded roofer of 20 years as well as his more recent 10 years as a sandblaster. He loved his parents and his seven siblings, but above all else, he loved his son, Aiden.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday September 13th at 11 am.
