CHRYK, Peter Thomas Stanley - June 23, 1940 - September 16, 2019
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved Peter on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
He fought a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer and was surrounded by the love and support of his family.
Peter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosalind (nee Stephens), by his daughters Sandy Gardner (Mark Jenkins), Laura (Toby Mills) and Jennifer (Chris Vandemark), sister Marilyn Kameka, grandkids Arden and Mackenzie Mills and Noah and Emma Vandemark.
Peter will be forever remembered as a kind and generous man, who always tried to help others, and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Having spent a lifetime as a Tool & Die Maker at GM North Plant, he retired after close to 40 years service in 1997. Peter enjoyed golf, 10-pin bowling and was devout Jays fan and lover of puzzles of all kinds. He may be disappointed that he left without finding out what happened on Oak Island, but perhaps he will watch from afar.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for professionalism shown to Peter and his family.
The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life at a future date.
