Oostrom MargaretOOSTROM, Margaret Loveridge (formerly Clarke) (née Hunnisett) -

Margaret, our beloved Mom and Nana, passed peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones at her home at Fairview Lodge. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family and for her sharp wit and sense of humour.

She leaves behind her children David Clarke (Marie), Sherry Clarke-Cusson (Dennis Cusson) and Ricky Clarke; her grandchildren Bonnie Macfarlane (Dan Player), Cindy Clarke, Mike Clarke (Nikki), and Leanne Laker; and her great-grandchildren Amber Hogan, Matthew Player, Cole Player, Lexi Clarke, Salem Clarke, Ryker Clarke and Hailey Laker; Niece June, Nephew Jimmy Wagner (Suzanne), Niece Heather Wagner (Pat McNamara).

She is predeceased by her first husband Patrick Clarke and second husband Jake Oostrom and parents Lucy and Fred Hunnisett, sisters Doris Wagner and Gladys Smith and son-in-law Glen Coates.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the wonderful staff at Fairview Lodge who created a loving home for Margaret in her final years and showed great compassion to our family. We are eternally grateful to Margaret’s dear friend and caregiver, Brenda Pagazani, who was a ray of sunshine in Margaret’s life and an extended family member to us.

Family will receive friends for memorial visitation at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby 905-443-3376 on Saturday October 19th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.  Cremation has taken place and Margaret will be interred with her mother & father in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Dying with Dignity Canada or to a  CHARITY of one’s choice would be appreciated.
