MCGEE, David Thompson - (1932-2019) Peacefully at the age of 87, Dave went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday October 2, 2019.
Loving husband of the late Doris Pullman and sadly missed by sons, Jeffrey (Phyllis) and Steven (Nancy).
Dear Grandpa to David and Elizabeth. Also missed by siblings, Tom (Joan), Jean (Carl), Sam (Elaine), and many nieces and nephews.
Dave was born on February 29, 1932 on the family farm in Grey County to the late Ethel and Howard McGee. Dave followed in his mother’s footsteps and became a teacher.
He taught at Medway High School, near London for 30 years. Davegraduated from Guelph University (OAC Class of 1956). Dave’s Christian faith was central to him and he was very active in the Presbyterian Church in both London and Whitby.
In retirement, Dave and Doris enjoyed travelling and spending time with their grandchildren.
We wish to thank the staff at Lynde Creek Manor and Sunrise of Unionville for their excellent compassion and care in his final years.
Friends and family are invited to call at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (905-443-3376) on Saturday October 5 from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Funeral service and lunch to follow.
Interment at GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Brooklin.
