Saxby FrederickSAXBY, Frederick Samuel 'Fred' - (September 27, 1926 – November 26, 2019) - 

(Retired longtime employee of General Motors Canada)

Passed away suddenly with family by his side at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday November 26, 2019 in his 94th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce (nee Topham).

Loving father of Tom Saxby (Maureen), Brenda Marley (John), Karen Saxby (Deb), and David Saxby.

Grandfather of Michael Marley, Jeffrey, Jason and Tommy Saxby, and Great Grandfather of Paige, Lydia, Myla, and Chance. Dear brother of Freda Shields, Joan Jackson, and Carol Cole.

Predeceased by his brother Gordon Saxby, sisters Honor Saxby, Christine Patterson, Dorothy Lee, Evelyn Sobanski and Ruth Knox.

Fred had a life well lived, enjoyed summers at the cottage, and a devoted hockey fan. He was a caring and kind peaceful man. He will be missed by his cat Stanley.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday November 30th from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m.

Interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
