ANDERSON, Albert - It is with profound sadness that the Anderson family announces the passing of Albert Anderson on Sunday December 01, 2019 three weeks shy of what would have been his 95th birthday.
Beloved husband to Peggy for 63 years, loving father to John, Susan, James and Laura, and devoted grandfather to Iain, James, Cameron, Shane, Joshua, Kevin, Andrew, Katrina and Jenna.
In recent years he was blessed with two great grandchildren – Calieb and Harlyn.
Born in Glasgow Scotland, he was the first son of Hughina and Albert Anderson (Snr.)
His siblings included half sister Mary; older sisters Laurette, Eleanor and younger brother John. He deeply felt the loss of his Father when he was twelve.
As a boy, he was an avid soccer fan and player; he joined a pipe band and worked in the shipyards. He met the love of his life Peggy, immigrated to Canada where they married and raised their family. To know Albert was to know he was a devoted family man. His trade was master plumber and he was a loyal union member of United Association of Plumbers/Steamfitters Local 46. His last sixteen years, working at the University of Toronto, was the highlight of his career.
Visitation and Funeral service at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Wednesday December 4, 2019, at 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM, with Chapel Service from 11:00 to 12:00 PM. Interment to follow.
