SCRUTON, Dorothy (Turanski) Scruton - It is with heavy, but grateful hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of Dorothy Scruton (nee Turanski) of St. Davids, Ontario on Tuesday December 17, 2019.
Dorothy was 87 years old and is now safe in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and reunited with her husband Jack.
She is survived by her 3 children: Robert (Sharon), Marion (Mario) and Howard (Janice).
Dorothy had 7 grandchildren: John, Elizabeth, Anna, Brittany, Courtney, Lindsay and Nathan, as well as, 7 great grandchildren Jude, Emma, Eli, Wesley, Evelyn, Will and Jace.
Dorothy is also survived by her oldest sister, Mary Franco of Niagara Falls, ON.
Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother. Her unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus was an encouragement to everyone that knew her.
People were drawn to her quiet, unassuming nature. She was a dressmaker by trade and also managed the E.P. Bookstore in Toronto for many years.
She was involved in leading Sunday School and working in the library at Richview Baptist Church.
Appreciation is given to the staff and care workers at Park Place Seniors Living in Niagara Falls.
A celebration of her life will be held sometime in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Samaritan's Purse and/or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
