FORBES, Jessie Forbes - October 14, 1938 - January 30, 2020
It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Jessie Forbes (nee Morrison) at the age of 81.
Jessie spent the last 7 months in long term care at Bay Ridges Pickering, where she passed away peacefully January 30.
Jessie is predeceased by her loving husband Tam, and her sisters Patricia and Sadie.
She leaves behind her loving daughter Linda, son in law Arthur, Sister Marjory, granddaughter Jaclyn, grandson Gavin (Daniella) and her very special great grandsons Liam, Ewan and Duncan, nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
Jessie spent her working life in the labour movement in various capacities and was passionate in the fight for social justice.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax on February 6, 2020 at 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Memorial Service on February 7, 2020, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Herizon House Women’s Shelter in Ajax.
