MON SUE, Lesma Rose - In her 90th year, passed away peacefully at home in Whitby, Ontario, Canada in the early hours of Sunday February 9th, 2020.
She was born on September 19th, 1930 in the parish of St Ann, Jamaica to Mae Morris and Purcell Lawson.
She graduated nursing school becoming a registered nurse in 1956 which spanned a four decade career in England, Jamaica & Canada, providing service and care for others as was her way known for her incredibly compassionate, caring and loving demeanor.
She was an incredibly humble woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Noted for her quick wit, beautiful green eyes and unwavering positive outlook she will be remembered warmly by her friends, family and all of those who came in contact with her.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters David, Monty, Margaret, Dorothy, Victor & Barbara. Her children Verna, Michael & Vivian. Her grandchildren Derek, Tamara, Malcolm & Cheyanne. Along with her great grandchildren Addilynn & Tiernan.
Her funeral service is scheduled for 1:30pm on Saturday, February 15th at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, Ontario.
