Airdrie ChristopherAIRDRIE, Christopher David,  BSc. September 6, 1991 - February 20, 2020

Chris passed away on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 at the age of 28 due to an undiagnosed cardiovascular medical condition.

Cherished son of David and Kim (Pascoe) Airdrie, brother of Mary and her husband Daniel Slater, most cherished soul mate of Nicole Marhong.

He is mourned by his Grandma Kathleen Airdrie and Granny Shirley Airdrie and predeceased by his Papa Carl & Nana Margaret Pascoe, and Grandad Irvin Airdrie.

He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Chris was a renaissance man who could perfect anything he set his mind to. He was a self-taught woodworker, animal lover and outdoorsman, an accomplished home chef, avid collector and admirer of antiques – taking particular pride in the restoration of hand tools.

Chris could light up a room with his sense of humour and quick wit, usually with a smile on his face and twinkle in his eye.

He was always one to think outside of the box, finding unique solutions to challenges.

Chris was also a lover of science and would use his knowledge to educate and inform others about a wide range of topics about which he was passionate.

Along with his many passions, Chris was someone who valued his relationships and was a zealous defender of all those whom he loved.

A celebration of life will be held at the private home of Christopher’s family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bear With Us Sanctuary (a bear sanctuary in Sprucedale, Ontario). This charitable organization is supported by Chris’ family and is close to the cottage that Chris loved so much.

Messages of condolence and shared memories can be left for the family by visiting barnesmemorialfuneralhome.com.
