BARRETT, Shirley Celine - Passed away with her family by her side on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:16pm at Lakeridge Health Hospital Oshawa at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of Noel Lancelot Barrett for 60 years.
Born to Lawrence and Germaine Tucker of London, England, she was 10th of 11 children.
Loving mother to Suzanne Marie Barrett and Paul Barrett (Sylvia, daughter-in-law). Devoted and cherished Nana to Christopher D. Jenkins (son of Suzanne), Roman Barrett and Sabrina Barrett (children of Paul and Sylvia).
Following retirement from the dental field, both Shirley and Noel loved shopping, travelling, ballroom dancing and walking. Shirley participated in church and craft/bake sales, gardening, protected and cared for the family and raised her first born grandson, Christopher. Shirley was an amazing cook and baker and would spend hours/days in preparation for family gatherings. They also enjoyed family vacation trips, especially to their favourite location in Florida.
Shirley always carried out the tradition of helping the underprivileged with food and clothing and avid donors to the Society of the Little Flower, St. Theresa of Lisieux.

We are honored that Father Jorge Lopez Parra of Assomption de Notre-Dame provided last rites while Shirley was alive and his colleague, Father Franciso Fernandez Siles is conducting the funeral mass and equally honored with the Knights of Columbus Honour Guard attendance at the Funeral Mass.
Shirley Celine Barrett is in Heaven with respect, dignity and honour.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday, March 14th at 10:30am at St. John Evangelist Church, 903 Giffard St., Whitby, Ontario.
Donations are welcome to St. John the Evangelist Church for their missions in Memory of Shirley Celine Barrett. Arrangements entrusted with WC TOWN FUNERAL HOME, Whitby.
