Carabetta DomenicCARABETTA, Domenic -  (December 7, 1954 - March 13, 2020)

After a brave battle with cancer, Domenic passed away Friday afternoon March 13, 2020, at the age of 65, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, Calabria, Italy on December 7, 1954.

Beloved husband of Ann (nee Niro), loving father of Joe (Christina) and Claudia (Sylvester), and cherished Nonno to his two adoring grandchildren, Alexander and Tristan.

Predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Giuseppa and his brothers Rocco Sr., Rocco Jr., Giuseppe as well as Berardino and Virgina Niro.

He will be greatly missed by his siblings Antonio (Onorina), Maria (Enzo), Alfredo (Norma) and forever remembered by John (Flora), Andy (Tina), and Ivana. And loving Zio to his many nieces and nephews.

Domenic always had a way of showing his love and appreciation through good food and family gatherings. If you knew him, that is because you've shared a drink, an espresso or one of his famous BBQ's. He was truly a generous and thoughtful person with a big heart who would go out of his way for those he loved.

Domenic will be remembered as a provider, a friend and most of all, a fighter. Throughout his entire journey he showed no fear nor did he complain despite the fact that he was suffering. The last 8 months have proved to be very challenging for Domenic and his family.

For those of you who put your priorities aside to tend to ours (you know who you are), we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your dedication and continued support.

We will celebrate his life by sharing all of our beautiful memories and will always remember him with love in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation: Cancer Centre.

Arrrangements entrusted with McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax.
