LAWSON, Shirley Cora (Pearce)  -  Went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Orchard Villa in Pickering.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec November 22, 1932 to Arthur and Gladys Pearce.

She was predeceased by her husband Allan Lawson whom she married on September 8, 1956.

If you knew her, you know. If you didn’t know her, that’s shocking, because she somehow knew literally everyone!

More than just a COVID-19 statistic, she was caring, sassy, hilarious, a sewing and knitting machine, a crossword and word search aficionado, a pie-maker xtraordinaire, a professional phone-talker, a devoted and loyal friend, and so much more. She was daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. While her absence leaves a hole here with us on earth, we take joy in knowing that she is partying with Jesus, and being reunited with friends and family in heaven.

Man, heaven won big time on this one. Brother to Ross (Peggy).

Beloved mother to Keith (Vera), Arlene (deceased 2006), and Gregg (Laurie).

Grandmother to Laura, Andrew, Meaghan, Katherine, Quinn, and Karen, and great grandmother to Brayden, Hailey, Owen, and Hannah.

Due to the current restrictions on gathering, a private family service is being planned, and she will be interred with her husband in Toronto, Ontario.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
