Merv worked for Ontario Hydro, now OPG, for over twenty years before accepting a retirement package at 47.

Retirement gave him great freedom and he enjoyed numerous winters in his second home of Puerta Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.

Merv was a loyal, generous man, very charitable to so many organizations in Canada and Mexico, a humble, simple, kind man full of positivity and support for anyone who allowed him to. He had a great sense of humour, loved walking, being outside, especially walking by any shoreline, in his home of Oshawa and Puerta Vallarta.

Loved immeasurably, his presence will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Merv’s life will be planned in the future.
