Ionescu MarincaIONESCU, Marinca - (28 Aprilie 1942 ~ 11 August 2020)

Fie ca Dumnezeu s-o odihneasca in pace si sa o primeasca in Imparatia Lui!

(April 28, 1942 ~ August 11, 2020) With great pain we announce the passing from this life of our beloved mother and grandmother, Marinca Ionescu.

At only 78 years old and in full force, she died suddenly, very unexpected, following a heart attack.

Our big family, divided on two continents, we all join our hearts in our prayers and our sadness for this sudden loss.

- Christine Thorn - daughter in Toronto- Canada with husband Alexander and children Michael, Tyra, Charlize & Peter - Cornelia Pascu - daughter from Bucharest-Romania with her husband Dan and children Ana-Maria, Mihai, Ioana & Iulia.

Although she chose to follow us, immigrating to Canada, just for helping in raising her 4 grandchildren born in Canada, surrounding them with love and kindness, her thoughts and heart had also been near the other half of the family living in Romania whom she visited every year, along with all friends and relatives from there.

We are glad that she was able to gather and see us all together, both families, in 2018, two years ago, and again in 2019 for all her grandchildren, which was a long time wish for her.

She was an extraordinary strong person, hardworking, full of energy, with an amazing kindness, helping anyone and everyone, determined in her beliefs and desires, persevered and brave in the face of any difficulties that came her way and who acted only with love for God and in the spirit of Orthodox Christian traditions.

May God rest her in peace and welcome her into His Kingdom!

Apt.456,  Interfon Buzz 324, in Toronto .

On the same day, Monday, August 17, sometime between 18.00-21.00 PM, I am inviting especially those who couldn’t come to the funeral in Oshawa, to pass by her studio apartment in the evening, at her address in Toronto:  250 Cassandra Blvd. Apt.456, Interphone Buzz 324.

Please call me or text at 647-2919102 to let me know and I will set up different times, due to Covid restrictions.

We hope the distance is not too much of an inconvenience.

We are confident that all funeral arrangements we managed to make would have been exactly as my mother would have liked. I almost felt that she guided me from somewhere in heaven to find the most suitable solutions, following the Romanian faith, traditions & her wish.

God rest her in peace!
