SHAW, Jim - October 25, 1937 – February 1, 2014
Peacefully, passed away with his loving wife and daughter by his side on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 76 years of age.
Loving husband of Marjorie for 53 years.
Cherished father of Shawn-Marie (Kim), Catherine, Sue Ann (Jeff) and Dana (Jim).
Devoted Papa of David, Renata, Curtis, Kaya, Renee, Sara, Eli and great grandfather of Aria. He will be sadly missed by his four legged companion Lady.
Dear brother of George (Nancy) and the late Ralph/Duke (Dorita).
He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and his friends in his euchre club. Jim’s second love was his charitable work and sports.
He was an inductee to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame in May of 2000 for The Legion Baseball Team.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 7 – 9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
At the family’s request Memorial donations to N.A.S.C. Baseball or SickKids Foundation would be appreciated.
