Dumais DarrylDUMAIS, Darryl Dumais - (December 15, 1966 – October 23, 2020)

Suddenly, on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the age of 53.

Predeceased by his father Norman Dumais. Beloved son of Beverly Dumais-Quast and her husband, the late Gary Quast.

Loving brother of Robin (Stewart) Russell. Amazing uncle of Ryler (Danielle), Reanna (Lucas) and Rowen. Cherished ‘Uncle D’ to Tiffany who was like a niece to Darryl. Loved nephew of Suzanne and Dianne.

Darryl will be greatly missed by his ‘work family’; Peter and Tony Serravalle and their family, Dominic Ouco and family and a special thanks to Amanda Krisko.

There are many family and friends who miss Darryl including his favourite feline, Gilbert.

Here is a beautiful tribute to Darryl that encompasses all that he was;

On October 23, we lost a very special man in our lives. Darryl was not only our employee of 15 years but also a very close family member and best friend to Peter.

Darryl was intelligent, kind, one of the most hard-working men we knew, and definitely a jack of all trades.

Darryl enjoyed the little things, he appreciated life and those around him. He was a big part of our everyday lives - from calls each day, to working together on job sites to travelling around the world together to cheer on Antonio. Darryl was always willing to help out no matter the circumstance and he put others first before himself. He was so dedicated to his work and always so loyal to Peter.

There are no words to express the sorrow and emptiness we feel in our hearts as we think we will never see or hear from him again. We will forever hold the memories we shared with him in our hearts and will never forget the man he was and what he taught us all.

We can never replace you, Darryl and life will never be the same. We hope that you are happy where you are; fixing cars and enjoying your favourite beer. From time to time, give us a sign to tell us you’re around. We will miss you so much. Thank you for being a big part of our lives. Until we meet again. Peter.

Public visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME (847 King St. West 905-721-1234) on Wednesday, October 28th from 5pm – 8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 29th at 10:30 am.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Darryl’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
