MANGOS, Sophie - (1939 - 2020) - It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Sophie Mangos, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Sophie was born in Nevoleny, Lerin, Macedonia on March 3, 1939. The daughter of Stefo and Georgia (Tsoutsoulis) Dines.
Beloved wife of Vangel Mangos for 62 years, loving mother to her two sons and one daughter: Peter (Kathy), George (Carmela) and Kathy (Nektarios).
Cherished Baba to six grandchildren: Julie, Kaitlin, Rachel, Matthew, Effie and Zoe. Beloved sibling of Tom (Laura) and the predeceased Louis (Vangie).
Sophie lived in Nevoleny, Lerin, Macedonia until she immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1955. Sophie lived a full and happy life and always made her family her first priority.
Sophie always put the needs of others before hers. She was a devoted religious woman who went to church on a frequent basis.
Her passion was cooking and was always pleased to see people enjoying her food without ever taking any credit. She will be greatly missed and will forever live on in our hearts.
May she ever abide with our Saviour Jesus Christ in Heaven. Eternal Be Her Memory.
Arranements with McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at St Dimitrija Solunski Macedonian Orthodox Church, 201 Main St North, Markham, ON, on Monday November 2nd. Burial to follow.
