MALONEY, Jason Gregory - It is our privilege to welcome you all as we meet to celebrate and honour the life of Jason Gregory Maloney.

Husband, father, grandfather, musician, mentor, magician, pianist, snowboarder, kiteboarder, perpetual joy spreader and hero to many, died on Monday November 16, 2020, doing what he loved most; kiteboarding.

His sudden passing has been such an enormous shock for us all, however, this is really a celebration of a life well-lived and full of adventure.

Jason was born in Toronto on September 14, 1964.

He will be missed by his parents Gayle Randeen and Collin Maloney and siblings Matthew, Michael (Crystal), Sara (Brad) and Vincent (Leslie).

His beautiful wife Molly Hilton, and daughters Tiffany (Desmond), Krystal (Jay), Samantha and Brittany.

He was lovingly known as Papa to his grandchildren, Alyza, Maya, Qaiden, Xavier, Zoey, Zakary, and Zyla and Chico to his nieces and nephews Joshua, Zoe, Ben, Lucas, Collin and Abby.

Jason’s glowing and magnetic presence will be missed by many.

Although talented in so many ways, his true gift was his friendship and the ability to impact lives. Whether you knew him for a few short minutes, months or years, he was undeniably, truly and always your best friend from there onwards.

Jason’s pastimes included spending time with his wife Molly who he adored, brunches with family, evenings with the neighbours, spending hours on the lake flirting with the wind mastering jumps on his kiteboard, scrolling through liking and commenting on everyone’s daily woo submissions, and chatting to friends for hours while sitting in his car drinking tea.

This gathering gives everyone a chance to say a final goodbye while thanking Jason for his life and leaving everyone with such wonderful memories.

Jason’s life made a difference.

His compassion, warmth and kindness will continue to live on through each and every one of us.  We thank Jason for being him and for playing a significant part in each of our lives.

The family wishes to convey their sincere thanks to everyone who in their various ways have shown sympathy and support to them at this sad time.

Arrangements entrusted with DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada 905-440-3595.
