MORTON, Gary Alexander  - With profound sadness and loving hearts the family of Gary Morton announces his unexpected passing on November 27, 2020.

Gary passed peacefully surrounded by the love of all of his children at the University Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre at the age of 65.

Proud and loving father to Michelle (Rob), Brad, Sean (Harlee) and Ian (Sam), Rachel and Jonny (Leighan).

Beloved grandfather to Zachary, Torunn, Astrid, Leia, Kyah, Athena, and Wilder.

Loved Son of Patricia Morton and predeceased by his father, Alexander Morton. Loving brother to Kim (Tom). Gary will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Gary knew that family had no boundaries. Family is who you raise your children with, who you eat meals with and who you love and support through all life’s happy times, chaos and challenges. Gary was kind, gentle, and loyal. His family meant everything to him. He helped raise 6 beautiful children.

Born to Patricia and Alexander Morton as the second child in Thorold, Ontario. Gary attended the Thorold Secondary High School and then moved straight into the workforce where he started his career at General Motors.

The family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to all those who provided Gary with care over the years. Thank you to all the PSW’s, nursing staff and doctors at the Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound Hospital as well as all those who cared for Gary at the University Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre.

As per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic a Celebration of Life will be held at a date when it is safe to receive a hug or handshake.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or Jumpstart Canada.
