YOUNG, Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ - (August 28, 1936 - November 30, 2020)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Jacqueline “Jackie” Theresa Young (formerly Zicari) at the age of 84.
Jackie is survived by her seven loving daughters: Donna (Steve), Penny (Raymond), Candy (Roy), Cindy (Doug), Reta (Phil), Sherry (Glen) and Tracy (Mitch).
Grandma Jackie will be missed dearly by her 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Jackie was predeceased by her husband Donald James Young, her parents Tony and Rita Zicari and her siblings, Ross, Ronnie, John, Norma, Joan and Frank.
Those of you who knew Jackie understood how important her family was to her. A phone call to “Mommy” or “Gramma” meant you were able to catch up on everyone at the same time. Despite her large family, she always made time for each of us.
Born in Toronto, Jackie was a longtime resident of Ajax and was very well known in the community. She worked at the Penn Centre Restaurant for many years and was affectionately known as “Mommie” to all her staff.
She will be deeply missed!
There will be a celebration of her life for friends and family in the coming months.
