CANAM, Barbara JoAnn (Stewart) “Turbo Grandma” - (Born April 7th, 1944 – Passed December 17th, 2020)
She will be dearly missed by her late partner Aurthur Stevens and the late Gary Canam.
Predeceased by her mother Rita Hazel, her father Edward Lewis Stewart and her stepmother Eileen Stewart.
She will be sadly missed by her children Twyla (the late Christopher), Kermit (Beth).
Also by her grandchildren Kendra, Gary and Michael.
She was the loving sister of Eddie Stewart (Eleanor), Earle Stewart (the late Debbie), Danny Stewart (Gayle), Kim Weronski (John).
She will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and cats C.C. and Coco.
JoAnn had a great love of all things musical and she adored animals big and small.
She was a very outgoing lady with a terrific sense of humour and loved a good race.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Dr. Schiff, Carol, Karen and the whole transplant team at Toronto General Hospital for the past 6 years.
Near the end, thanks to Dr. Mo Wang, Palliative Team, many PSWs and extra special thank you to nurse Kayla.
Donations made to the Humane Society of Durham Region, The Kidney Foundation or The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
