Swerdferger HazelSWERDFEGER, Hazel Eileen (Collins) "3G" - (April 30th, 1920 -December 18th, 2020)

Born in Cornwall, Ontario to Thomas and Etta (Lagden) Collins, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 18, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after being ill at home for two days.

Predeceased by her husband Burton (1988), her siblings Gordon, Edward, Lloyd, Albert, Grace and Gladys, her daughter Joyce (2013) and son in law Angus (2016).

Lovingly remembered by her son Wayne (Elsie), grandchildren Mark, John (predeceased) (Lori), Heather (Amanda), Karen (Chad), Nicholas (Bridget), Kristen (Christophe), great grandchildren Deanna (Nigel), Shelbi, Hayden, Hudson, Georgia, and great great grandchildren Ella-Grace and Kinsley.

She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, especially Judy, Brian, Terry and their families.

Hazel will be remembered by her large extended family and friends from Kingston, Ontario, the community at Parkview Place and friends at the OSC John Street, Oshawa.

Due to the pandemic a drive-by was held to celebrate her 100th birthday which was captured on National Television. She enjoyed the video and seeing best wishes from family and friends.

Hazel cherished reminiscing about bowling, secretarial duties at KD Manufacturing, and spending time with family and friends. Hazel spent many hours playing bingo, cribbage and walking with those she loved. Her family will cherish the many items she knit and crocheted over the years.

A celebration of life will take place later in the spring of 2021.
