Adair BettyADAIR, Betty Jean  - (October 27, 1928 – January 5, 2021)

It is with great sadness the family of Betty Jean Adair announces her passing on January 5, 2021, at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa at the age of 92.

Jean was married to the love of her life, the late John Adair.

Loving mother to Tom (Heather), Janice (Blair) and John (Beverly).

Jean was a proud grandmother to Lisa, Lori, Matthew, Aaron, Morgan, Mark, Megan, Kyle, John Michael and Trevor.

She was also an adored great grandmother to Kyle, Lauryn, Ryan, Owen, Taylor, Liam, Rachel, Olivia, Harper, Hudson and Kinsley.

As well as being a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Jean was a nurse having graduated from Oshawa General Hospital in 1950 and retired in 1982.

Jean enjoyed being at the cottage in the Kawarthas with John and having her family there. The campfires ended quickly because of the mosquitos that left John the last man standing.

Jean made great apple pies with a slice of cheese. She enjoyed making quilts, reading, knitting, puzzles and her church coffee group. Jean and John travelled to various places the Yukon and Alaska being their favourites.

The latter part of her life was valiant struggle with dementia that robbed her of people, places, time and memories. What a beautiful lesson she taught us of perseverance.

Mom our memory is a keepsake of you from which we will never part.

Due to Covid, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or The Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL , 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484).
