CYR, Laura Mae (Vail) – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mom, Laura Mae Cyr (Vail) born on April 21, 1927 and passed away on January 26, 2021 at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, Ontario.
Our hearts are heavy, but full of gratitude for a life well lived.
She was the last surviving sibling of the family of Frank and Florence Vail.
Laura is survived by her children Terry (Heather) Cyr of Lindsay, Ontario and Lynn (Bob) McLaughlin of Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
Six grandchildren John Robinson, Dena Peden (Robinson), Melanie Hartt (McLaughlin), Brad McLaughlin, Christopher Cyr, and Kourtney van Staalduinen (Cyr). Laura is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Joseph Cyr, her daughter Colleen Dianne Robinson, and two great grandchildren Anne and Kaleb.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Fairview Lodge for the kindness and outstanding care they provided to Mom during the seven years she was a resident with them.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral. Her remains will be transported to New Brunswick for a graveside burial at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPE in Whitby, Ontario and Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
In Mom’s memory, a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
