Lasek StanislawLASEK, Stanislaw - With the support of his beloved wife Aniela by his side, Stanislaw passed away peacefully at Copernicus Lodge on Sunday January 24th, 2021, in his 96th year.

Father to Bogdan Robert (Christine) and Halina (Steve).

Grandfather to Jacob (Leigh), Erik (Abigail), Anthony (Rachel),  Matthew (Angela), Jamie, Jeremy and Lisa (Adam). Great-grandfather to Ethan, Sadie, William, Oliver, Felicity, Everly and Sunny.

In 1984, Stanislaw married Aniela; becoming a stepfather to Jurek, Jadwiga and Wanda and step-grandfather to Paula, Eva and Marek.

Sponsored by his brother Joe (Mary), Stanislaw immigrated to Canada with his young family in 1960.

He was a devoted Catholic, belonging to St. Hedwig's Parish.

Stanislaw was very proud of his Polish heritage and was involved in and devoted his time to many organizations in the Polish Community.

Once settled in Oshawa with his family, Stanislaw became committed fully into the Polish Community.  He helped at his church, was lifetime member of Polish Alliance of Canada, Branch 21, the Polish Veterans, Reymond Foundation, Polish Scouts Canada and always available to any Polish people seeking advice, and for his service to the community, he received multiple honours.

Stanislaw’s goal was to educate people of the Holocaust of the Siberian Labour Camps during WWII (Sybirakow) where he lost 4 siblings. He and Aniela wrote a memorial book to record these important historical events.

Stanislaw held many jobs, his first being on a tobacco farm in Port Hope, then fittings at Hudaij from where he retired.

On behalf of Stanislaw’s family, we extend our sincere thanks for all the messages of sympathy and stories and ask you to pray for Stanislaw, that his soul reaches the comfort of Jesus and Peace.
