Nesbitt WillieNESBITT, Wilhelmina Ida 'Willie' - (September 28, 1929 - February 1, 2021)

Wilhelmina Ida Nesbitt passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of 66 years of the late Jack Nesbitt.

Predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Ina de Jonge and sister Mary Maxam. Loving mother of John “Wally”, Edward “Ted” (Tracee) and Kathleen Sivell (Lance Lovelock).

Granny will be especially missed by Jeffrey (Kirby Makrevski) and David Sivell, as well as Kimberlee and Willem Nesbitt.

She was a dear cousin of Julie Swinson and Helen Gurnsey and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Willie’s interests included gardening, sewing, painting, volunteering, travelling, bowling, golf and Bridge. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to a number of family members. Willie, along with her husband, was an active member of Columbus United Church for many years.

All who knew her will remember her bright smile, laughter and her passion for entertaining family and friends.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to all the staff of Chartwell Wynfield Assistive Living and Long Term Care Residence for the loving care and compassion they gave our mother during her final years.

As per her wishes, there will be no memorial service.

We ask for your kind thoughts and prayers in remembrance of Willie.
