LOOTSMA, Frederick Jake - (February 3, 1970 – February 1, 2021)

Dear son of Cora & Marinus Visser and predeceased by his father Leo Lootsma.

Dear brother of Deb (Wayne) Mendes de Franca and Ron (Suzette) Lootsma.

Dear uncle of Jasmine (Jordan), Teija, Callum, Rory and Holden.

He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins.  Dear step-brother to Ben (Terry), Peter (Melanie), Michael (Melanie), Karen (Rob) and their families.

On February 3rd, 1970, Frederick Jake was born and soon adopted by Cora and Leo Lootsma. Fred was welcomed by his sister Deb and his brother Ron.

Fred was a rambunctious little red head and was full of energy. Fred loved to play and watch sports as well as spent many hours playing hockey in the driveway or on the ice with his brother, cousin and friends. Fred’s family loved to go camping every summer and they have many fond memories of that time.

Fred lost his Dad at the young age of 11, which really hit him hard. In 1987, Marinus Visser became his stepfather whom he cared for deeply.

Fred was a loving and caring person but was not without his struggles in life.

Fred loved his family very much and was taken from us too soon.

We will miss him dearly and take comfort in knowing that Fred and his Dad are now together at Jesus’ side. God be with you 'til we meet again.

A Private Graveside service will be held at MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS in Whitby.

Memorial Donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
