SHREVE, Marija (nee Milovanović) - (February 21, 1932 – February 12, 2021)
Marija was born in Belgrade, Serbia on February 21, 1932 and sadly passed away at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa on Friday, February 12, 2021 in her 89th year.
Marija was the loving daughter of the late Deda Dragi and Baba Lepa.
Marija was also a dear sister to Mira (Vasco).
Marija graduated top of her class with Honours in Business school and worked as an accountant at an electrical company in Belgrade before meeting Don while they were travelling in Rome. They later married and moved to Oshawa, remaining together for 42 years until Don’s passing.
Marija was a very proud and loving mother to her two sons, George (Nancy) and Michael (Cathy).
Adoring Grandma to her three grandchildren, Julie (Graeme), Jenny (Kamar) and Luke (DaeLynne).
Marija was also a cherished great grandma to her four great grandchildren, Hailley, Savannah, Grayson and Callie.
Marija had a great love for art and interior decorating as well as music.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery in Oshawa.
