BROWN, Geraldine “Jerry” Anne - (1927 - 2021) - Jerry Brown passed away very peacefully on February 22, 2021 at the age of 93.

The middle child of Ross and Liz Hodgins, Jerry was predeceased by brothers Jack and Jimmy, and sisters Ramona and Shirley.

Beloved wife and sweetheart of the late Ernest (2015) for over 69 years, and mother of Ernest Jr. (Laura), Randall, Catherine (Dan), and predeceased by son Mark (Carolyn/Dave).

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Kirsten, Lydia, Laura, Claire, Jordan, Emily, Joshua, Alison and Ted, who have a lifetime of happy memories with their Nana. She lived long enough to see the arrival of 17 great-grandchildren.

Jerry will also be dearly missed by her CGIT “Live Wires” who lovingly visited her every year.

Jerry grew up in Aurora, and lived most of her teen and adult years in Toronto. A gifted artist, she attended Central Technical School.

Our profound heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Extendicare Port Hope who took such loving care of Jerry. In spite of a deadly pandemic raging around the world, the wonderful caregivers in Mowat Unit kept her safe and happy throughout 2020. We cannot thank them enough for being her adopted family when we could not be with her. Their skilled care gave her the gift of dying of old age and not from Covid.

A private service celebrating the lives of Jerry and Ernie will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society to help find a cure for this terrible disease, so someday in the future other families won’t have to lose a loved one, one memory at a time.
