PINKERTON, Barbara Mary Leighfield (Reynolds) - (March 24, 1935 - March 16, 2021)
Heaven has gained a very special angel. Barbara passed peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her loving husband and family just shy of celebrating her 86th birthday and 65th wedding anniversary.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband Ronald William Pinkerton.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her four sons; David (Michelle), Alan, Bruce (Sarah), and John (Lori). Barbara will be forever missed by her seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, sister Joan (Leo) and brother Michael (Nancy) and their families.
With her huge heart she was always the consummate hostess wanting to ensure everyone was well looked after, always putting others needs before her own.
She always showed interest in peoples lives and always knew how to make someone feel loved.
She loved to sing and performed with the Thornhill Cantabile Chorale Choir for many years. She loved to travel and she and her loving husband Ron travelled much of the world together.
A small private gathering and memorial of direct family members will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Newcastle.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara can be made to The Alzheimer Society or another charity of your choice.
