Hodge DenisHODGE, Dennis Waring Hodge  - August 29, 1929 – March 22, 2021 

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital on Monday March 22, 2021 in his 92nd year.

Loving Dad to Denise (Peter), Rusty (Cris) and Erin.

Proud Poppa to Kelly (Sebastian), Christian (Iris), Andrew, Bryce and Keana.

Cherished great Poppa to Braxton and Brooklyn.

Dennis is pre-deceased by his loving furry kids, Cooper and Joey. 

A special thank you goes to the staff at The Colonial Retirement Home and to Kevin and Lois Dwyer for their help and compassion as well as Mike Cooksey. 

Dennis will be remembered by his many extended family and friends for how hard working and humble he was.

Dennis was known for his sense of humour and the fact that he always had a joke to tell.

Dennis was born in Dunmurray, Ireland on August 29, 1929. From 1945 until 1948 Dennis served with the British Navy.

Following that time, Dennis then moved to Canada to start his life here. Dennis was a past president at the Rotary Club of Scarborough and he was recently recognized for his 50 years of service with Rotary International.

Dennis was also the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship. Dennis also had ties with the Cedar hill Hockey Organization in Scarborough, coaching and in later years, convening. 

Donations in memory of Dennis may be made to The Rotary Club of Scarborough or All Saints Anglican Church in Whitby. 

VISITATION will be held at THE OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King St. W., Oshawa, ON. L1J 2L4 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday March 25th, 2021.
