It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Fanny Margaret Handjes passed away suddenly but peacefully in her home at the age of 63 on March 23, 2021.

Fanny was sadly predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years Robert “Bob” James Munn on November 24, 2012 after a valiant battle with brain cancer.

Fanny was deeply loved and will be forever missed by her two sons, Jonathon (Jessica) and Jeremy (Amanda).

Sofia and Jameson who cherished their Granny Fanny will miss her terribly as time passes, but her memory will live on through their smiles.

She is survived by her mother Maria Handjes, and her siblings Joan (Tom) and Liz, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Fanny was a dedicated employee for more than 30 years with Durham Region Children’s Service Division.

She was a dedicated employee and made numerous friendships that lasted a lifetime.

She was an avid traveler and enjoyed trips to places such as Greece and Italy.  Fanny particularly raved about the beautiful Keukenhof tulip gardens that graced the fields of the Netherlands.
