BEATTIE, Betty Margaret Beattie (nee Howell) - December 26, 1924 - March 25, 2021
Betty passed away March 25 in her 97th year.
Betty was born in London, England on December 26, 1924 to Alice and Geoffrey Howell, and had a happy childhood growing up with her sisters Gwen and Jackie and brother Geoff in Chiswick.
Betty met the love of her life Joe, a Canadian who was stationed overseas during WWII in 1942.
They married in 1943 and she followed him to Canada after the war where they raised their growing family.
They were married for 70 years until Joe’s death in 2014.
Betty’s pride, joy and focus in life was her family.
Her children Gillian (Peter), Glenna (John), Karen, David (Christine), 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren filled her life until her final days.
During her long life Betty carried herself with purpose and dignity and had incredible strength and conviction.
Her happiest moments were when her family gathered together and we have many wonderful memories of those times.
