BROWN, Mary  -  It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Brown announces her passing in her 91st year.

Mary was a longtime resident of Uxbridge, but was originally from England, emigrating to Canada in 1980 with her husband Bill and sons Ian and Andrew.

Mary loved dogs, knitting and music. She was an enthusiastic member of the Uxbridge chapter of the Sweet Adelines through the 1980s and 90s.

Mary was a very proud Nana to Jon, Gillian and Megan. She was also an extremely proud Grand-Nana to Hailey, Sophia and Leila.

Mary was at her happiest surrounded by her plants, flowers, music, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In her final year, Mary was cared for by her family and Johanne Langenhuizen, who became one of Mary's favourite people to spend time with.

The family would like to thank Michelle Scott, the PSWs, RNs and Dr D. Doobay for their commitment to Mary's wellbeing and especially to Johanne for brightening Mary's days.

Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
