KACABA, Maureen Therese - Peacefully at The Wynfield, in Oshawa, on March 30, 2021 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of the late Vincent Kacaba.
Loving mother of Vincent (Karen), Paul and Phillip (Jennifer).
Devoted grandmother of Samantha, Joey, Dustin, Kieran, Kailey and Krista.
Dear sister of Denise (late Alan) and the late Kevin (Wendy).
Maureen will be missed by many nieces and nephews mostly in New Zealand.
Maureen spent her life helping others as a Registered Nurse, mid-wife and Lamaze instructor.
Upon retiring from the healthcare profession, Maureen shared her talents as a volunteer at the Oshawa Senior Community Center and St. Joseph the Worker church.
When not helping others, Maureen would spend her time doing crafts and art at home.
She most enjoyed her time up at the family cottage over the past 50 years.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of Wynfield LTC residence for the amazing care that they provided for Maureen over the past 3 years. Maureen’s smile and wit will be missed by all.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).
Donations in memory of Maureen to OSCC (Oshawa Senior Community Centres) or Toronto Western Hospital-Memory Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
