WOJCIEL, Rowena Mary Wojciel - May 16, 1932 – April 3, 2021
A courageous, generous, resilient, independent woman who was a warrior until the end.
Rowena was devoted to her daughters, Rose (Phil), Christine (predeceased), Lisa (Matthew) raising them independently in a time when this was rare.
As a young woman Rowena courageously took the long voyage from England to Canada to start a new life.
She was a hard worker (OHIP) and saved her money ensuring that her and her children had many visits to England to be with her family, especially her sisters Doreen and Edwina and their families.
For her grandchildren, Claire, Kate, Jessica and Trent she was tireless to provide them with love, song, playtime, encouragement and patience.
The last few years of Rowena’s life were spent as “momma” or “Roe Roe” by those who lovingly cared for her at Fosterbrooke and Adams House.
Most of all she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

There will be a private family service and the family requests in lieu of flowers you take time with your loved ones and be kind to others in random ways.
