ANDREWS, William 'Bill' George Everett   -  Passed away on April 19, 2021, in his 89th year.

Predeceased by Ruth Andrews, his loving wife of 65 years. Bill joked she had better be waiting for him.

Bill was also predeceased by his only brother Jack and their parents, Annie and John. He is survived by his sister-in-law Beverley.

Bill’s calm demeanor, gentle voice, sense of humour and love of poetry will be lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law: Allan and Terry, David and Heather, Glenn and Susan.

He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Tira, Ken, and Minato; Jackie and Matt; Patricia and Mark; Katie, Andrew, and Jaycie; Jake; Jesse; Grace; Chris, Jen, Jakob, and Griffin.

Bill felt he had always been lucky in life and treasured his family and friends.

Like Ruth, Bill’s favourite place in the world was up north at the Bus. He always timed the cooking of baked potatoes while sitting at the campfire: by the time he’d had two drinks (rye and coke) and three smokes, the potatoes would be done.

Bill’s wish to have his ashes put in a whiskey bottle and spread around the Bus will be carried out at a private family gathering, in the near future.  There will be no service at this time.

The family wishes to thank the essential healthcare workers for their assistance in his care and final moments.

Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to The Lakeridge Health Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society.
