WELLS, Denise Dianna - (November 9, 1948 - April 22, 2021)
Denise passed away on Thursday April 22, 2021 at the age of 72. Denise was in Sunnybrook Hospital’s palliative care unit fighting a fierce battle with cancer.
Her two children Karen and Steve (Lyndsey) were her reason for everything and it is with heavy hearts they grieve the passing of their mother.
Den will be so dearly missed by her siblings, Will (Sandra), Ottis (Donna), George, Roger, Lawrence (Kim), Madonna (Bryan) and Hazel.
Denise will also be heartbreakingly missed by the loves of her life, her precious grandchildren, Karen’s daughter Savannah (Brent), Karen’s son, Tyler (Denise has joined her grandchildren Kathleen and Tyler in heaven and is hugging them ever so tightly right now). Steve’s children, Joshua and Gabrielle. Denise was able to meet her first great-grandchild, Savannah and Brent’s infant son Koda.
Denise will also be missed by her many extended relatives and friends.
Denise was formerly of St. Vincent W.I. and came to Canada as teenager. Denise spent many years working at McGraw Hill Ryerson, first in Scarborough and then in Whitby.
Denise was a wonderful grandmother to all of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her stories, the special “trips to the park”, the way she always made them laugh, movies and sleepovers. She will be forever loved and missed by them.
A memorial to honour Denise’s wonderful life will be held at a later date.
